Scent is a personal thing. A fragrance one person loves may feel too strong for someone else. When you’re choosing a massage, it’s worth thinking about the atmosphere you enjoy as well as the pressure and techniques.
What is aromatherapy massage?
Aromatherapy massage brings scented oils into the massage experience. Rather than treating a fragrance as a promise of a particular result, I see it as one part of what can make an appointment feel enjoyable and personal.
Tell me what you like
Do you enjoy gentle floral scents, something fresh, or very little fragrance at all? Let me know when you enquire. You don’t need to know the names of oils or have a favourite blend. A simple description of what you enjoy is a helpful place to start.
Your massage is still bespoke
You may prefer flowing Swedish techniques, more focused deep tissue work, or a combination. I’ll ask about your preferences and the areas you’d like me to focus on, then adapt the pressure and approach during your appointment.
If fragrance isn’t for you, please say so. You can discuss your preferences with me before booking rather than feel you need to choose a scented treatment.
